More than ever, water is a incredibly important topic in the West. As we enter our 20th year of drought, the resource is becoming strained and finally people are beginning to realize the value of this resource in our desert climates. This story focuses on the water in the Colorado River that sustains life for millions in the Western United States.

Produced, written, photographed and edited for The County Seat on ABC 4 Utah, this spot focuses on the the complicated history of water in the Western US at a time when the region continues to deal with a historic drought. The story at the front of the piece attempts to give an overview of the sheer complexity of this problem involving the states in the Colorado River Basin.
